BP1 Symbaloo

Symbaloo is a free desktop organizer that offers colorful, clickable tiles to organize
and access one’s websites. There are two versions of Symbaloo, the original and one
created by and for educators.  Both are free.

The educator’s version differs from the original Symbaloo in that it offers webmixes
geared toward specific content areas and grade levels.  Both versions can be upgraded to paid
accounts for additional features which aren’t needed for my purposes.

The attractive visual display, the drag and drop feature for moving tiles around on the
grid, the easy access to shared webmixes were all contributing factors for staying with
Symbaloo.

While I did like the idea of sticky notes that Protopage has to offer, I got bogged down in
the initial set up, finding the process too overwhelming.
